Texlin Quinney – My Journey

Texlin is an accomplished and committed professional who possesses a deep passion for serving others and helping individuals and organizations transform. Throughout the course of her life and her career, she has been an active change agent and advocated for youth, marginalized communities, and underperforming students/organizations. Texlin has extensive experience in identifying opportunities, developing strategies, and leading the charge for organizations and people to make positive changes both professionally and personally.

A continuous learner going above and beyond what is required and always seeking to discover more, Texlin possesses both technical knowledge and know-how around a variety of business and life-skills which has served her well throughout the years.

Her basketball and financial acumen, intellectual prowess, and understanding of diverse relationships spans over twenty years where her time has been allocated between sports, business, and school. During her time in sports, Texlin reached the pinnacle in her career playing in the WNBA for the Indiana Fever. Due to injury, her time was cut short, which is why she tells people that basketball, and sports in general, are not promised to you and you should always have a plan behind every dream. This is why Texlin makes an effort to pursue opportunities in multiple areas of interest.

Her career in business has included working in public accounting for PricewaterhouseCoopers, serving as a financial consultant for Robert Half International, functioning as a Project Financial Manager and Corporate Investigator for Ericsson, and most recently acting as Vice President Controller for ElectriCom. She has achieved three terminal degrees in the disciplines of Business, Theology, and Humanities.

Texlin is energized by the opportunity to serve youth and local communities and inspire them to excel toward positive, societal transformation. Capitalizing on her own experiences, she strives to help today’s youth build character through basketball. Through the practice of everyday drills, Texlin inspires individuals to build on their problem-solving capabilities, expanding not only their knowledge, but their confidence and self-esteem in the process.

As a consultant, Texlin drives strategy to execution, strengthens overall growth, and establishes programs and services that will help her clients reach their full potential through a scalable approach to transformation that focuses on concepts, competency, and coaching.

She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, working out, learning, creating, and engaging in new experiences when she is not at work. The little pleasures in life, together with solid interpersonal connections, have proven to be the most priceless assets she has ever possessed.

“Texlin is a team player and cheerleader who always takes everyone’s views into account and supports the entire team. Every single day.”
