Literature is indispensable to the world. The world changes according to the way people see it, and if you alter, even by a millimeter, the way a person looks at reality, then you can change it.

About Me

My background in basketball coaching, business, and humanities offers a unique and valuable skillset for graduate students. My experience in coaching translates to strong mentoring abilities. I understand the importance of setting goals, developing strategies, and providing constructive feedback to help students achieve academic success. Additionally, my business acumen allows me to navigate the complexities of university bureaucracy, a major challenge for many graduate students. My PhD in Humanities demonstrates my strong critical thinking and communication skills, essential for guiding students through research and writing.

My Masters of Divinity from the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, GA, along with my advocacy for graduate students, aligns perfectly with the growing trend in universities seeking advisors who are not only academically qualified but also understand the specific needs and challenges faced by graduate students. My experience can bridge the gap between students and administration, fostering a more supportive and inclusive academic environment.

Dr. Quinney has the heart of a minister, academic prowess, and a business mindset as a CPA. Those combined elements give her the tools to guide students through the process of believing in their own potential. Her own accomplishments are a testimony to knowing what it takes to succeed. She wants us all to win in our chosen fields of study, the way she has in hers.

Dr. Quinney is a stellar scholar in her specialized field of study. She worked with me as a research specialist in the field of ethics and assisted me in teaching/mentoring students at the ITC. Graduate students in the Humanities stand to benefit immensely from her knowledge, pedagogy and writing expertise. She edited and did the bibliography of my most recent book manuscript.
